Day 1, back in the saddle as it were.
My aims are the following:
1) Get down to a size 8/10
2) Lose 30 lbs
3) Get through several social events all 100% on plan. Currently I have 2 weeks in Italy in 20 days (OMG pizza!), a wedding in 68 days (i'm not counting obvs), a weekend in Chester, another in paris (hopefully, omg pastries) and any more that I can squeeze in.
At the moment my day job is god awful. Very stressful indeed. I am an emotional eater and when I've had a bad day, I in the past have reached for the crisps and dip. Always savoury, never sweet. And like the advert says once you start, you just can't stop. So I will not be letting work take ahold. I will be focusing on my health and getting where I want to be. Easier said than done but lets see. In the past when I have been stressed I have travelled and you can see from the list above that I am still doing that. That habit I am more than happy to continue with! Nice healthy habit.
So enough rambling, Day 1 Cambridge Weight Plan, lets be having you! I'm only 5 foot 5 so on CWP (to save my fingers this is what I will refer to it as) I can have 3 products a day until I am down to a BMI of 25 then you move through the steps but more on that later.
CWP has porridge, ready made shakes, powder shakes, soups, bars and pasta dishes. I am incredibly boring with my eating on plan and generally go for the same things but for the purposes of this blog and showing people how its done I will try and more around the product line a bit more. On that note, now i'm a consultant, its fair to say everybody likes different things. The ready made shakes are very popular with my clients but I felt a bit robbed (wheres the rest of my food she screams!). Its horses for courses. Im sure as we go through it will become immediately obvious which products are my favs but i will try to mix it up as much as I can.
There are some additions to the range that are not compulsory but can really help. These are water flavourings. There are a few that make water taste like squash. Super lovely. You can make them in to lollys too which lets be honest, in this heat, its an essential. I am also not the best water drinker. Tea and coffee, bring it on but water, I struggle. Its so important to drink water on CWP as you have removed the water you would normally be getting fro conventional food. Water is essential for burning our fat and quite often we are thirsty not hungry. Drinking water helps us recognise this.
There is also a vegetable drink water flavouring. Its like veg cup a soup imho. I love it and am somewhat addicted. I didn't try it when I lost weight before but we have become friends this time. There is mix-a-mouse which allows you to make mouse out of the shake packets. Now a tried this with varying degree of success. I loved the chocolate orange and chocolate mint flavours for this for obvious reasons. After eight and terry's chocolate orange, oh lordy lordy. The other thing you can make with the mix-a-mouse is jelly with the water flavourings. This means one sweet thing.... This is in additions to the packs you're own. Now its not an excuse to go wild. We are suppose to be learning to control our eating habits in the long run but perfect if you are hungry and you just need a little something something to tide you over. I haven't tried it yet but I definitely will do.

Ok so breakfast was Chocolate flavour chewy bar. It reminds me of a finger of fudge. Not that I have one of them for a while. A had that with some Sunshine Orange Water Flavouring. Love water flavouring. Really helps me. My clients at the moment are so good without it. I need to be doing at least 3 litres a day. I'll update you on this as I go too.
